Creamy Tuscan Sausage Pasta
I don’t know about y’all, but, I LOVE PASTA. It is hands down my favorite food, so naturally I love trying out all sorts of pasta recipes for dinner and putting my own little spin on things. This Creamy Tuscan Sausage pasta is a great comfort food and is a perfect meal to make on a busy weekday.
Here is what you need!
Steps:
Bring a large pot to boil and cook the pasta according to the directions.
In a large skillet, add the sausage (I always use the hot). Cook the sausage fully until no longer pink. Set aside to drain the grease.
In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and chopped mushrooms. Add salt and pepper to taste (and olive oil if needed). Cook until onions are translucent and the mushrooms are cooked to your liking. Set aside in a bowl.
Add the heavy cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and parmesan cheese. Whisk over medium high heat until it starts to thicken (if you want it a little thicker you can add some more cheese!). Add the spinach and sundried tomatoes and let it simmer until the spinach starts to wilt. Add salt and pepper to taste if needed.
Add the sausage back to the skillet and stir in. Add the onions and mushrooms back and stir in. Finally, add the pasta and stir until everything is heated throughout. Add salt and pepper to taste if needed.
Serve in a dish and add parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes to top.
Don’t forget to enjoy with a glass of your favorite wine. My go to is a Pinot Nior!
Again, this is a great pasta dish for a busy weekday or if you are just wanting to enjoy some comfort food. Bon Appetite!
